Plus Nine Boys is current airing now in South Korean television, and of course it’s accessible now online. At first I was curious about this drama; the plot is something new for me.
There I have learned that Plus Nine is a common Korean belief. It is a “cursed” and brings about more adversity than usual, including the ninth year of every decade in one’s life. I find it amazing then so I just started watching it last night.
In this romantic-comedy drama, it’s all about four males who each confront different challenges in love, work and their life.
Kang Dong-gu is 9 years old. He is a child actor who got famous doing food commercials. In the first episode, during a movie audition he loss his chance.
Kang Min-gu is 19 years old. He is a hot-tempered high school senior and judo athlete. During a semi-final match for Judo, he was defeated due to stomach upset and he pooped in his pants.
Kang Jin-gu is 29 years old. He is a tour planner of a known travel agency. Despite of being good at his work, self-assured, and popular with women, he falls into one sided love.
Gu Kwang-soo is 39 years old. He was the brilliant Production Director of the top live music. When one members of the band drop his pants onstage purposely, he lost his job.
The setup is hilarious for all of them. All the brothers are interesting too. I can’t wait to watch them go through the rest of the misfortunes of their plus nine ages and how they are going to survive it.
