SIGNAL (K-drama)

Don’t judge the drama by its cast, because surely you will miss something without even knowing the plot.  This is what I have learned from this drama SIGNAL.  I have ignored it several times because the cast are unfamiliar to me and I thought it’s not good enough, but then, when I gave it a try, I couldn’t barely stop myself to watch.

SIGNAL is a masterpiece. A solid, suspense, thrilling,  crime, action drama that you shouldn’t miss! The script is so well written, it shows different conflicted stories and how they were able to turn the table into something you never have expected.  This drama has its own “world”  and it will bring you there with so much anticipation.  Not even a single sequence you will regret, It has its own power to make your heart flutter.

The intermingled scenes from past and presents was so good that you would be able to fathom the consequences of changing its significant event.

The ACTING? it’s a WOW!

See it for yourself.

“Desperate voice from the past sends clues to the present in Signal. That’s  how the drama best to describe it. “The series was inspired by the Hwaseong serial murders. A mysterious walkie talkie allows a detective in 1989 to communicate with a cold case profiler from 2015; with the power of fore and hindsight the two not only solve crimes but prevent them from ever taking place.

The cast

“Park Hae-Young (Lee Je-Hoon) works as a criminal profiler and is also a police lieutenant. Even though he is a cop, he doesn’t trust cops due to his own past experience.  He became a profiler due to a painful incident he experienced as a young boy. He is an emotional and sensitive profiler. While leaving the police station, Hae-Young hears someone talking to him. He looks around to find a walkie-talkie. The man who is talking to Hae-Young is Detective Jae-Han (Cho Jin-Woong).”

“Detective Jae-Han (Cho Jin-Woong) is from the year 2000.  He is the most heart-melting detective I have ever seen. He is the true hero of the drama. He will stop at nothing to solve a case and willingly puts himself in jeopardy if it means he can bring justice.  You will not be able to see him in the present year with Park Hae-Young (Lee Je-Hoon)  because the story involves of saving him.”

“(Kim Hye-Soo) Soo-Hyun plays an innocent rookie detective from the past and who was clearly in love with Detective Jae-Han (Cho Jin-Woong). In the present, she is a tough and hardened team leader to form a new cold case squad.

All in all, it’s really one of the best dramas in 2016.

My verdict is 10/10, I can’t think of a more worthy rating than that.
