“Gong Shim was born as a 2nd daughter to a family that always prioritizes their 1st daughter Gong Mi, due to her being a successful and beautiful lawyer. As a result, Gong Shim grows into a prickly and skeptical woman with inferiority complex. One day she meets Dan Tae, a quirky public defender with mysterious past. Dan Tae rents a rooftop apartment which formerly belonged to Gong Shim.”
I love this drama with all its flaws and holes. Why? Simply because it gave me so much fun. I grinned a lot, ear to ear most of the time.
I would admit some parts of the episodes were predictable and convenient. There was no development of some supporting characters, the process of reconciliation was not that superb, the sudden shift of no communication between Ahn Dan-Tae and Gong Shim, which I think was immaterial, and the fast-paced wrapped up of their love affair at episode 20. I think it’s much better if they have ended it until episode 16.
However, it was refreshing to watch Namgung Min (Ahh Dan-Tae) playing an unusual character as a cheesy humorous man after his disturbing villain character from “Remember: war of the son” drama. He was such a versatile actor. It was great to see Bang Min-ah’s (Gong Shim) acting side apart from being a K-pop (Girl’s Day) member. I would say, Namgung and Minah’s chemistry were perfect, even with their age difference.
Also, this was one show I really don’t mind how our female lead (Gong Shim) looks like in her wig, she’s really cute with it, and even don’t care to whom she ended up with, I liked both guys, they were good and cool. So, obviously I like this show because it made me smile all the way through to the end. I am going to miss their beautiful characters.
Thank you for the wonderful ride!
