TRAIN TO BUSAN is a harrowing zombie horror-thriller that follows a group of terrified passengers fighting their way through a countrywide viral outbreak while trapped on a suspicion-filled, blood-drenched bullet train ride to Busan, a southern resort city that has managed to hold off the zombie hordes… or so everyone hopes.

This movie became an instant new favorite and popular throughout the county. What the trailer promised  is more than you can get from the whole episode, and before anything else zombies here didn’t need many special effects to be feared, they were not exaggerated too and their shuffling style is more resembles like the ones in World War Z.

Train to Busan is a good zombie flick movie that was beautifully paced and neatly constructed. The plot was persistently in motion towards the uniqueness, the thrilling, and the unstoppable heart trembling. Although there was no development or profound portraits of characters, it never wobbles the story’s significance since they have offered some sort of explanation that is enough for us to understand.

What I like in this movie is that you won’t be able to predict the ending (except for those spoilers). You will find yourself badly how you want the people sat in the train to survive the ordeal, and you would never realize who dies first or last.

Busan’s journey of torment was not occurred only inside the train, but it was spread all over the city of Seoul, and the survivors are doing their best to reach Busan where the heaven’s place for survival.

In this movie, to stay alive is indefinite. There is some life needed to be sacrificed, since the most primitive instincts is to fight for survival.  The father-daughter relationship is more extraordinary. It give sense of being miserable by loving someone and losing them. You can undeniably feel the sense of terror, loss and despair.

Behind the greatness of this movie, there is one question left;  What is the real cause of the unknown virus, how it spread throughout Seoul and why the government didn’t voice the truth? Well,  you have to watch the animated prelude Seoul Station. They explain more about the outbreak one day before the horrible events of Train to Busan (It might be good watching the Seoul Station first then Busan).

So enjoy the movie and don’t cry hard.

Verdict: 10/10
