Violet Evergarden, a young girl formerly known as “the weapon,” has left the battlefield to start a new life at CH Postal Service. There, she is deeply moved by the work of “Auto Memories Dolls,” who carry people’s thoughts and convert them into words. So begins her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, and comes face to face with various people’s emotions and differing shapes of love. All the while searching for the meaning of the words her mentor had last said to her.

“As human beings, we all mature physically from childhood to adolescence and then into adulthood, but our emotions lag behind.” – Bernard Sumner

This series of drama is simple yet very captivating, touching and wonderfully written which deepen each and every episode. It was hard not to fall in love with this and just within 24 hours, I was very emotional.

Throughout the show, our Violet is trying to be a normal person who is also looking for the real meaning of love. Without the experience of humanity, she was facing the challenge to be an Auto Memory Dolls who makes a single letter that could move someone’s heart. Each of her journeys is a lesson to learn, to reflect and to realize the beauty of life. It has the power to restore emotions.

Violet Evergarden is filled with vibrant colors, beautiful song, fascinating animation, beautiful story, and terrific characters. Just like all the letters made from violet to all her clients, this series left me with a lasting good impression.

I’m hoping for a sequel too where violet can continue her quest for love.

Verdict: 10/10

This series is available on Netflix.
