As a Korean drama fan, it is impossible not to wish to visit the country of South Korea. I think it’s given. Last two months ago, I have visited the place finally with my K-drama best friends.
We have visited some filming locations and with other memorable scenes in Kdrama land.
This is Heo Joon-Jae’s (Lee Min Hoo) house in the series of Legend of the Blue Sea. You can visit his house (outside only) before heading to N Seoul/Namsan Tower, around the Myeongdong area.
From the scene of Kill me Heal me where Cha Do-Hyun and Oh Ri-jin kissed. This was filmed at the brand new MBC office, right in front of the signature statue.
We are young mural is very popular in the Kdrama series. It has been filmed from Hotel del Luna (2019); My Strange Hero (2018-19); While You Were Sleeping (2017); Manhole (2017) and My Golden Life (2017). I just love the mural.
Petite France is located in Gapyeong. It is a cute French-themed village where Do Min Joon (Kim Soo-Hyun) uses his telekinetic powers to see Cheong Song Yi (Gianna Jun), and they have kissed. This scene was from the series of My Love From the Star.
The classic Winter Sonata gives me chill. It is one of the most romantic scenes such as the protagonists’ first kiss was shot on this particular island. Sadly, I just don’t have someone to kiss at that moment 🙂
The Crown Prince’s (Park Bo-Gum) beloved pond, Seohwayeon Pond. This was shown in the drama of Love in the Moonlight where Hong Ra-On (Kim You-Jung) encounters the Crown Prince while she is watching over Princess Yeong-Eun (Heo Jung-Eun).
Take 1, take 2, we took this scene so many times before it becomes perfect. Maybe some people wondered what we were doing at that moment, well only kdrama fanatics can relate. From the scene of She Was Pretty, Kim Hye-Jin (Hwang Jung-Eum) and Ji Sung-Joon (Park Seo-Joon) dated at the Garden of the Morning Calm.
This is where Sunny (Yoo In-Na) and Eun Tak (Kim Go-Eun) sat and talked from K-drama Goblin. This cafe named White Birch Story Tea House. It has a unique design of a Hanok cafe, so simple but cute. Of course, we ordered coffee and juice before we started our own pictorials.
This wall is very popular for the Kdrama tourist fans. I haven’t seen this side emptied from any photographic presence. Of course, in the Goblin series, this was the place where Goblin (Gong Yoo) and Eun-Tak (Kim Go-Eun) first met while it was raining.
And of course, the Namsan Seoul Tower which frequently shows in the Kdrama land.
Riding a bus in Seoul is the easiest way to have a Kdrama experience, and of course, you have to pay the fare.
There are so many K-drama filming locations on my list but unfortunately, we don’t have extra time to visit them all. Maybe next time again.
