The Classic was just beautiful.
Timeless and Universal.
The beautiful scenery of the Korean countryside along with the nostalgic and poignant mood brought the film into very classical and portrays kinds of emotional appeals.
A beautiful journey from the past; about first love memorable moments, friendship, sacrifices, and fate.
The modern tale which brings the story together.
The fair share of laughter and tears.
The character chemistry and acting execution are terrific.
The plot is simple, but it connects itself to your memory.
A movie that should be watched, it will bawl your eyes out at the end.
Here are five reasons you need to watch this movie.
1. A tear-jerker melodrama.
Gives an air of nostalgia and plenty of sweet and heartwarming moments.
2. Best performances and perfect chemistry.
So Ji-Sub (Cheol-Min) and Han Hyo-Joo (Jung-Hwa ) acting characterization is on top. The blind, sweet girl meets the tough guy with complex characters. They evolve together and turned to be a perfect lover.
3. Unexpected plot twist
You will never guess until the back story shown. Life has a cruel sense of humor.
4. The art of photography and camera work are captivating.
It gives you the warmth and the pain through some sentimental shots.
5. This movie gives you the chill that “Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”
When his eyes close and his bloody body falls, I panted my mouth with words of despair;
this couldn’t be “the end.”
Why? Because watching W-Two worlds were beyond a mere imagination. It has a very unique concept, solid and unpredictable written script and of course excellent actors. What more could I ask for ? Nothing else, but a happy ending.
What would you do if you found out that there’s another world beyond a popular webtoon and that your character is some way connected to it? Are you going to enter the portal to seek the truth or you will only follow your maker’s decision to create his own pattern for your destiny? Can you be able possibly use your power of choice out of confusion and unbelievable reality?
Well, our protagonist Kang Chul (Lee Jong-Suk) made a choice. After he learned about the “other world”, he steps outside his planned destiny. In between the challenges, he rewrites his own story, depicting the right of choice to his own life, to live or to die. Amidst of erroneous decisions and right tactics, this drama taught us that life is a series of choice and by our own choice we can only then define our own fate.
As this drama ended, I am satisfied that I made a good choice of my 16 hours+ with their journey. Some might be droning of the plot holes in the finale, but it never seems to me. W-two worlds is a time travel drama where it bends time, space and reality and I bent my understanding too.
I tried to finished reading the three books (Gayle Forman) because I can’t simply wonder what happens next after reading each of their pages. I like the story of how you travel to different country, meeting different people and making possible things to reality.
First book : JUST ONE DAY
“Allyson Healey’s life is exactly like her suitcase—packed, planned, ordered. Then on the last day of her three-week post-graduation European tour, she meets Willem. A free-spirited, roving actor, Willem is everything she’s not, and when he invites her to abandon her plans and come to Paris with him, Allyson says yes. This uncharacteristic decision leads to a day of risk and romance, liberation and intimacy: 24 hours that will transform Allyson’s life.”
Just one day is showing us the start of Allyson & Willem’s love story. It is also the part where Alyson decided to stop agonizing herself for nine months, but instead starting to search William to find all the answers she needed to hear.
“Part of me knows one more day won’t do anything except postpone the heartbreak. But another part of me believes differently. We are born in one day. We die in one day. We can change in one day. And we can fall in love in one day. Anything can happen in just one day.”
Second book : JUST ONE YEAR
“When he opens his eyes, Willem doesn’t know where in the world he is—Prague or Dubrovnik or back in Amsterdam. All he knows is that he is once again alone, and that he needs to find a girl named Lulu. They shared one magical day in Paris, and something about that day—that girl—makes Willem wonder if they aren’t fated to be together. He travels all over the world, from Mexico to India, hoping to reconnect with her. But as months go by and Lulu remains elusive, Willem starts to question if the hand of fate is as strong as he’d thought.”
The second book ties together. Absolutely, it answers all the questions from Just one day. For me, it was a boring recap on what had happened to Willem over the course of the year that he and Allyson were separated, but of course I just couldn’t leave it there.
“There’s a difference between losing something you knew you had and losing something you discovered you had. One is a disappointment. The other feels like losing a piece of yourself.”
Third book : JUST ONE NIGHT
“After spending one life-changing day in Paris with laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter, sheltered American good girl Allyson “Lulu” discovered her new lover had disappeared without a trace. Just One Day followed Allyson’s quest to reunite with Willem; Just One Year chronicled the pair’s year apart from Willem’s perspective. Now, back together at last, this delectable e-novella reveals the couple’s final chapter.”
Finally I get some damn closure. I enjoyed the journey!
“And the kiss feels like something completely new. But it also feels like something deeply known.”
“You win some, you lose some. And sometimes you win and lose at the same time. Life’s a bloody cockup.”
“Stains are even worse when you’re the only one who can see them.
It’s been a while since I haven’t met a new guy and dated. I was just completely out of emotional string this time. Believe me I have so much fun of being alone, like my heart is at ease and never had the chance to roll myself again to despair. I am happy where my heart situated right now and don’t want to ask for more, for now.
But of course since I am a person, I have some thoughts of having a new guy in my life and to start falling in love again. But this time, I want to design the scenario of how I wanted to meet him.
I am on the plane traveling alone to a place for the first time, looking for some extraordinary fun and there is this good looking guy sitting right next to me. It would be a 5 hour journey and we will start talking about anything. I will find him a good conversationalist and humorous and he will find me smart and pretty. Is it too much? Anyway, we will decide to wander around the place together and will have some clean fun. After the travel we will return back home, will exchange phone numbers, meet after, become friends and be a couple.
I am dining in a classy restaurant with friends. The food is very delicious that I will ask the server who’s responsible for the sumptuous cuisine. Of course he was a chef but he is not allowed to meet the customers. So I will make a note, will hand over through the server, pass to Mr. Chef, it would be like this.. “The food is incredibly tasty, I need a chef. Please call me.” And he will give me a call, we will like each other and be a couple.
I am at the beach alone trying to avoid the deafening-busy life in the city. I am at the front side of the beach, lying with sun rest high and reading my favorite book while sipping my mango juice. A manly guy will come next to me and say “nice book” and I would smile and say thank you. At night, I went to a restaurant for my dinner; unexpectedly the same guy will ask if he could join me at the table. And there, we will eat together, will talk and walk on the beach sand while the moon is watching us.
That’s how I wanted to meet my new guy. It’s just an imagination but I don’t care. If that will happen lucky me, if not I am going to face the reality. I like someone who loves to travel, knows how to cook and likes to stay at the beach.
